I was borned in Philly and have been playing drums since the age of 12...I stop for some years and have been back in full force since the late 80's. I enjoy all kinds of music and I am open to all genres. Currently I am palying with a couple of different groupes..Rivers Edge (smooth jazz/R&B).. The Dave Rivers Project ( smooth jazz and R&B..some gospel) and currently with my gospel group Direction 3:5-6. I continue to remain open to new styles of drumming and try to improve on the gift that God has blessed me with.
You Cats were way a head of your time..sounds like it to me.I put a track on from my group Direction 3;5-6.
Check it out. It is more on the smooth jazz tip.
Im trying to load this other cut but it is not in Mp3 format. By the way are you still grtting down or have you fell back?
Of course I remember RTF I just didn't get it with the initials.
I had every album., If they play in LA I'm there.
Is Campell Soup still in Camden? I know the town is really in bad shape.
I used to drive through it from Cherry Hill to down town Philly.
i am feeling better but still not back full strength.
Great hearing from you my brother.

I hope your feeling better my brother!
I haven't really been that busy gig wise but I am having fun playing at the church that I worship at in Camden. RTF is a fusion band from back in the 70's "Return To Forever"...
the original 4..... Chic Corea,Stanley Clark ,Al Dimeola and Lenny White. The fab 4. I believe they cut 3 albums but I only have 2. They haven't toured in 25yrs. In my opinion, but only mine, it is the concert of a lifetime.....Well keep in touch and I'll do the same.
