I've been playing drums since I was 6 years old(46 now).My grandfather was a drummer and he past on his legacy. Thanks,Grandpa!!!
My first gig was with my grandfathers band, when i was 10. What a cool experience!
From there I played in school(marching band and orchestra).I played snare drum,
bass drum and timpani(did I spell that right? lol).Played all through High school. It gave me a good sense of how dynamic a drummer should play.
Granted, through my school years I was playing Beatles,Stones,Doors,Kiss,Zeppelin and any other cool band i stumbled upon. Had a band called,Johnny Distortion and the Feedbacks,in high school and played any gig we could.(Parties, school dances) It was a blast!!
After high school I moved to California to chase the dream, but got side tracked by the Marine Corps. Spent 6 years serving my country, but as soon as I got out,I started playing again,
In '85' I moved to New Jersey & that's where I'm living now!
My tastes have changed musically. I still like Rock, but I'm leaning more towards Smooth Jazz. I've jammed with some cool players, but nothing has become a solid group. I'm still looking!!!
If anyone's looking for a solid drummer for a sit-in or full-time,just hit me up!!
Hmmmm...I'm also a singer. I've been fronting bands for a long time and have graced some pretty big stages! I've concentrating on my drumming(as of lately),but get calls for vocals quite a bit.(If it pays,I'm there!!) I've dropped a few MP3's here on my page,so check them out!! If you'd like, check out...www.myspace.com/michaelpartlow1762
More info,pics and of course,music!
Be blessed!!
P.S. Currently looking for any paying gig available! If you're from my area and know of a group that needs a fill-in or full-time drummer, hit me up!!
Be blessed!
