The second Slapstik New Beat Contest is now open for submissions. The purpose of the contest is to encourage drummers to develop new techniques with the Slapstik. A panel of judges will review all the submissions and pick three finalists. The first prize is $300, second prize $200, third prize $100. The deadline for submissions is July 1st.

About Me:

I'm an independent musician living in Birmingham, Alabama. I've been drumming for 26 years, professionally for 10 years. I like to concentrate more on the groove and dynamics and less on the flash.....nothing against the flashy drummers, that's just me. I've had the pleasure of playing with many artist locally, nationally, and internationally. I'm always humbled by the fact that God has allowed me to do what I love for a living. It's a beautiful thing! Check out my self-produced debut solo project 'The Light of Day'. It features all original music written and mostly performed by yours truly.
