I agree with the philosophy that the more styles you play, the better you'll play them all. There's a time and place for everything and if you want to survive as a professional, don't box yourself in to a narrow channel of expression. That's how you get to be the go-to drummer. Keep up the good work and makes lots of $$$.
great work cuz !out of the norm is good. do more ! being versital is what da young bucs are missin des days . do it all !!!its the meaning of the musician circle digg! also it will keep u in many working situtions!! word !!!
I'm late on your q, but for me....as long as you hear your personality in the recording and know where the energy is inside of the tune....then you've done the track justice... It's all about your vocabulary and how you apply it...
I'm a drummer from Pittsburgh PA. I've been playing professionally for the last 5 years and I've done tours and shows with Israel Houghton, David DeMarco, Dwayne Dolphin, The Aaron Greer Band, Josh Moyer Band, Sean Jones, Alton Merrell, Bishop Joseph Garlington, Clarence Grant Sr., Martha Munizzi, Mason Embry and more that I can't think of right now.
