Comment by Adam Guth on April 19, 2008 at 11:18am: Agop Istanbul cymbals - I'm with ya Poogie! In particular, I copped a pair of their Turk hi hats which are just sickeningly funky. They sound like tape saturation, only live! Anyone into funk, RnB or hip hop will want to check these out.

Also recently copped a set of 40's Radio Kings from a pawn shop here in Philly. They were just sitting in a corner UNDER some boxes and they had no ticket. I'm rehabbing them as we speak. The snare is going to be sick - a serious phatback drum. I'm psyched! I'll post some pics soon.

Comment by Theo Brown on April 12, 2008 at 1:00pm: I'm just starting to entertain the idea of gathering up other stuff.I've been into exotic drum porn so that's my addiction.Any snare of obvious difference(Tama Kenny Aronoff super piccolo 4x15,4x15 Yamaha John Robinson snare drum,Pearl 5x14 Virgil Donati snare drum),you get the idea.Now I'm into 13"s with 42 strand wires and hybrid hoops.I have been experimenting with drumheads as well ie.,Evans mx heads now evans hybrid heads and remo black max.
Now to the electronics.Been going between Edirol,Tascam dr-1 and Zoom4 as my next purchase and can't yet decide so I may have to go for all of them then sell off the ones I don't want after that.Then there's mics and any other gear that gets my eye.I'll keep you posted.
