I think its just fair since I'm a bassist to find out from y'all drummers out there who your favourite bassists are. I'm curious cos if there's someone I don't know about, I can go check them out

I'm not giving him praise because I grew up with him but he is up there with the top. If you can recalled he was in that John Scofield band that included Dennis Chambers, Robert Airey on piano or Jim Beard on piano back in the early 90's. That was a hot group and needless to say Gary was one of the orignial members of the R&B group Pockets that was produced in the mid 70's by Verdine and Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire.
Just wanted to mention that!!! :-)
